Veyo Homes with Pool
I will be straight with you: private pools are not common in Veyo, and some seasons this page will be thin or empty. Elevation and a short swim season mean most owners here never build one, so when a pool home does list it tends to move on that feature alone.
Veyo is the little volcano town on SR-18, twenty miles and about 27 minutes north of St. George at 4,485 feet, where the cinder cone stands over the highway and Crawdad Canyon hides a spring-fed swimming pool that has been operating since 1927. Around six hundred people live here on the edge of Dixie National Forest, high enough to take the edge off summer, close enough that town is an easy run.
The pool, the canyon, and the volcano
Veyo Pool is the kind of place that should not still exist and wonderfully does: a spring at 83 degrees filling a pool in the bottom of Crawdad Canyon, family run since 1927, with 250 bolted climbing routes on the basalt canyon walls above it. The Veyo Volcano cinder cone a mile south of town is the landmark everyone knows from the marathon course. Between the canyon, the forest boundary, and Baker Reservoir up the road, the recreation here is genuinely local.

Elevation and season length. A private pool here gets months of use, not the near year-round season of the desert floor, so fewer owners ever build one. That scarcity means the ones that exist stand out when they list.
What should a pool home buyer here inspect?
