Central Homes with Pool
I will be straight with you: private pools are not common in Central, and some seasons this page will be thin or empty. Elevation and a short swim season mean most owners here never build one, so when a pool home does list it tends to move on that feature alone.
Central sits on SR-18 at about 5,200 feet, 27 miles and roughly 36 minutes north of St. George, right where the road to Pine Valley turns off. It is best known as the starting line of the St. George Marathon, and it borders Dixie National Forest, which tells you most of what you need to know: this is cooler, higher, quieter country with real acreage, and it is the halfway point between the desert and the mountain.
Between the desert and Pine Valley Mountain
From Central you are twenty minutes from a St. George summer and twenty minutes from a mountain one. The Pine Valley turnoff is right here, Dixie National Forest starts at the edge of the community, and every October the marathon fires its starting gun practically in the front yard. People buy in Central for exactly this in-between quality: winters are milder than Pine Valley's, summers are cooler than St. George's, and both are within reach.

Why are pool homes rare in Central?
Elevation and season length. A private pool here gets months of use, not the near year-round season of the desert floor, so fewer owners ever build one. That scarcity means the ones that exist stand out when they list.
What should a pool home buyer here inspect?
Equipment age, freeze protection, and who has been maintaining it, because a neglected pool in a cold-winter town is an expensive surprise. I bring in a pool inspection alongside the general one on every one of these.
