Dammeron Valley Homes with Pool
I will be straight with you: private pools are not common in Dammeron Valley, and some seasons this page will be thin or empty. Elevation and a short swim season mean most owners here never build one, so when a pool home does list it tends to move on that feature alone.
Dammeron Valley is the horse country everybody in St. George knows about and fewer people think to search: an unincorporated valley on SR-18, roughly fifteen miles and about twenty minutes north of town, sitting at 4,600 feet with Pine Valley Mountain filling the north view and BLM ground on the edges. It was platted starting in 1976 into three flavors of property, five acre parcels, one acre valley lots, and the smaller Pinion Hills lots, and about 870 people lived here at the 2020 census. Residents put on rodeos in the valley, which tells you what kind of place this is.
Trails, rodeos, and the space between
The Red Mountain Trail takes off from just below the valley and runs across BLM land toward the Snow Canyon Overlook, which is one of the better hikes in the county and effectively starts in the neighborhood. The valley itself is the kind of community that holds rodeos, runs its own community events at the park, and otherwise leaves you alone. You are twenty minutes from every St. George errand and a world away from its subdivisions.
Common Questions
Why are pool homes rare in Dammeron Valley?
Elevation and season length. A private pool here gets months of use, not the near year-round season of the desert floor, so fewer owners ever build one. That scarcity means the ones that exist stand out when they list.
What should a pool home buyer here inspect?
Equipment age, freeze protection, and who has been maintaining it, because a neglected pool in a cold-winter town is an expensive surprise. I bring in a pool inspection alongside the general one on every one of these.
